Ever since the Opera team started working on the new Opera 10.50 / 10.51, there were no .deb or .rpm packages but this finally changed and you can now install Opera 10.50/10.51 in Debian (and derivatives like Ubuntu, etc.)
With additional refinement, the music store could be a win for Canonical and Ubuntu users. It’s unclear exactly what kind of revenue-sharing deal the company has with 7digital, but there is definitely some kind of arrangement that allows Canonical to profit from the music sales. More here
