The best Linux Twitter client – Hotot – finally supports a wide mode, like Tweetdeck:

Unfortunately for now you cannot customize (reorder, add or remove) the columns because the “extended” mode depends on the Hotot window width: the larger the window is, the more columns will be displayed. Hopefully such a feature will be added soon.

Install Hotot in Ubuntu using the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jimmyxu/hotot
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hotot
